We are looking for an Estimator at our Mertztown, PA location to work with our thermoplastic fabrications and sales teams. This position involves estimating and quoting custom fabrications such as plastic tanks, trenches, and sump linings.
Requirements and Capabilities
- Minimum one year experience in estimating/ performing take-offs of construction projects or similar. - Ability to read construction drawings/blueprints. - Ability to use Microsoft Office at a proficient level. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Autodesk AutoCAD 2D or drafting experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Review construction drawings and perform material and labor take-offs for each project. - Write quotations based on take-offs. - Collaborate with design and sales teams to provide timely quotations.
Plastic Shop – Fabrication Leadman

Atlas Minerals & Chemicals, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication (Layout) Leadman to work in our thermoplastic fabrication shop.
Being the Fabrication Leadman in the thermoplastics department allows you to work in safe environment where every project is different. You will work on plastic tanks, trenches, sumps, containment areas, and more. You will learn how to create cut sheets from mechanical drawings/blueprints for others to follow. Carpentry or woodworking experience is required. You will be taught plastic welding.
